Server Standards
This isn’t a workplace and we’re not interested in creating a massive rulebook.
The basic idea is simple:
Play the game, compete hard, and don’t deliberately ruin the experience for everyone else.
The servers are public spaces, so normal laws still apply. That isn’t really a server rule — it’s something everyone already has to follow.
Beyond that, most issues come down to destructive behaviour.
- Deliberate teamkilling
- Griefing
- Exploiting bugs to ruin a match
- Intentional disruption of your own team
- Repeated harassment of another player
- Cheating
- Deliberately trying to break or sabotage the server
Not Every Mistake Needs a Ban
Accidental teamkills happen. Arguments happen. People get frustrated. Sometimes someone just needs removing from the server for a while so the match can carry on.
For most problems, a timeout or temporary removal is enough.
If there is an ongoing disagreement, come onto Discord and talk about it. We would rather sort something out between people than turn every disagreement into a punishment.
Gentleman’s Agreement
A lot of things don’t need written rules.
If something is obviously broken, unfair, or damaging to the match, don’t abuse it simply because there isn’t a paragraph saying you can’t.
Use common sense.
Give other players the same chance to enjoy the game that you expect yourself.
Competitive play is encouraged. Trash talk and rivalry are part of gaming. Deliberately making the server miserable for everyone else isn’t.
It’s a game, not a job.
